From or via the Cincinnati area: Driving time from downtown Cincinnati or the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport is approximately one hour. Proceed to the SOUTHEASTERN quadrant of the I-275 loop around Cincinnati - on the Ohio side of the River. Take Exit 71 (NOT I-71) off of I-275. This is the same exit that you would
take to go to River Bend or Coney Island. Exit 71 is marked "Hwy 52 East - New Richmond". Hwy 52 is 4 lanes through New Richmond. Once through New Richmond, Hwy 52 turns into a 2-lane highway. Keep following Hwy 52 East. Higginsport is approximately 35 miles southeast the exit off I-275. You will go through several small towns, Moscow, Neville, Chilo, etc. (watch your speed in the towns; when they say 35 MPH they mean it!). Higginsport is a very small town, and you will not see road signs indicating "Higginsport X miles". You will see a road sign indicating the distance to Ripley (a somewhat larger town).
Higginsport is 8 miles west (closer to Cincinnati) of Ripley.

From or via Dayton: Driving time from the Dayton area to Higginsport is approximately 2 hours. If you are located in close to I-75, take south from Dayton to Cincinnati. From I-75, take the I-275 beltway around Cincinnati toward the east. Continue on I-275 to exit 71 (NOT I-71), off of I-275. This is the same exit that you would take to go to River Bend or Coney Island. Exit 71 is marked "Hwy 52 East - New Richmond". Hwy 52 is 4 lanes through New Richmond. Once through New Richmond, Hwy 52 turns into a 2-lane highway. Keep following Hwy 52 East. Higginsport is approximately 35 miles southeast of the exit off I-275.

If you are located close to Hwy. 68, then you can take Hwy. 68 south into Ripley where Hwy. 62/68 intersects Hwy. 52. From Ripley, go west 8 miles on Hwy 52 to Higginsport (or follow the "shortcut" noted below).

If you are more adventuresome, instead of following 62/68 into Ripley, you can take the "short cut" through Georgetown. To take the "shortcut", just prior to entering Georgetown on Hwy. 68 you will see a gas station on your right, and just beyond the gas station, a sign for Carter Lumber. Between those two landmarks is a road going off to your right. This road is Mt.Orab Pike. Turn right on Mt. Orab pike and follow it for about one mile. At the first traffic light you encounter, Mt. Orab Pike turns into Main Street in Georgetown. At this traffic light, continue onto Main Street. At the SECOND traffic light after you are on Main Street, turn right onto East Grant Street. Follow East Grant Street about three (3) blocks to the intersection with Hwy. 125. Proceed across Hwy. 125 and you will be on Hwy. 221. Follow Hwy. 221 south 8 miles (not to be confused with 8 minutes) into Higginsport, where Hwy. 221 intersects Hwy. 52. Turn right on Hwy. 52 and proceed one block west to Brown Street. Turn left on Brown Street. This "shortcut" is only recommended for the adventuresome, as Hwy. 221 is quite winding. The "shortcut" will, however, shorten your trip by about 15 miles. The "shortcut" should be avoided if you are not fond of winding roads, or if road conditions are hazardous.

From points south or east via Kentucky on I-64
When coming from the east or southeast on a route that leads into north eastern Kentucky on I-64, continue heading west on I-64 to exit 172 to the AA Highway in Kentucky (this highway is also known as Hwy. 9). Shortly after getting off I-64 at exit 172 you will need to make a LEFT turn to get on the AA Hwy. Driving distance to Higginsport from the intersection of I-64 and the AA Hwy. at exit 172 is approximately 2 hours. Continue following the AA Hwy west until you reach Maysville, KY. In Maysville, KY the AA Hwy intersects US Hwy. 62/68. At this intersection, the Hwy. 62/68 bypass around Maysville follows the AA Hwy. as it heads toward the Harsha Bridge, crossing over the Ohio. From the intersection of the AA Hwy and Hwy. 62/68, continue west on the AA Hwy. about 1.5 miles, to the first traffic light after you cross Hwy. 62/68. At this traffic light turn to the right and follow the Hwy. 62/68 bypass as it crosses over the bridge into Ohio. At the end of the exit off the bridge, Hwy. 62/68 intersects US Hwy. 52 in Ohio. The exit of the bridge is a loop, so at this point you will need to turn RIGHT to proceed west on Hwy. 52. The distance from the exit off the bridge to Higginsport is about 13 miles. Continue heading west on US Hwy. 52 through the town of Ripley to Higginsport. Higginsport is 8 miles west of Ripley on Hwy. 52

From Lexington, KY: Driving time from Lexington, KY is approximately 2 hours. From Lexington, KY, take Hwy 68 north into Maysville, KY and continue following Hwy 68 to the bypass around Maysville. The bypass follows Hwy. 9 (also known as the "AA Hwy.") over the new bridge into Aberdeen. To take the bypass to the New Bridge, at the intersection of Hwy. 62/68 and Hwy 9, turn left (west) on Hwy. 9. Follow this route approximately one mile, and watch for the signs indicating the turn to approach the bridge. After about 1 mile the Hwy 62/68 bypass requires a right turn that leads you over the New Bridge to Aberdeen, OH where Hwy 62/68 intersects Hwy 52. Take Hwy 52 west 12 miles into Higginsport. As the exit off the bridge is a loop, you will need to make a RIGHT turn at this point to proceed toward the west. As you are driving west, you will first encounter the town of Ripley.  To Ohio River House: Once in Higginsport, keep in mind that the town takes its 35 MPH speed limit very seriously! Just east of the town park is our "landmark", a local bar called "Karen's Hi-Port". Karen's Hi-Port is on the corner of Hwy 52 & Brown St.; we are on Brown Street. Turn South (toward the River) on Brown Street. We are just 2 blocks south of Hwy 52, right at the river-front. We own both of the two buildings you will see as you enter the "compound". The Dugan Residence will be on your left. The Riverboat House, which contains the apartments, two of the suites, the Great Room and the Studio will be on your right. Guest parking is anywhere in the concrete or gravel parking areas on your right (in front of the Riverboat House) as you enter our property. To check in, come to the back door of the Dugan Residence - through the enclosed porch on the north side of the building. The porch entrance is the doorway farthest to your left as you are looking at the Dugan Residence.
