 With two buildings, the Dugan Residence and the River Boat House, we offer a variety of accommodations. Traditional rooms with private baths in the Dugan Residence are ideal for couples. The Riverboat House, with suites and apartments offers more space, and is recommended for families or groups wanting close proximity and "gathering space"

We are closer than you think! The Ohio River House is located on the banks of the Ohio River just off Scenic US Hwy 52 only 35 miles east of Cincinnati's I-275 at Exit 71. | The four large individual guest rooms located in the Dugan Residence are available to guests on weekends only. The Riverboat House, which is open to guests daily year round, offers a diverse selection of accommodations, including two Suites, two large luxury Apartments, and two Studios, all of which have expansive decks with great river views. Guests can enjoy a full family style breakfast in the large brick-floored kitchen of the Dugan Residence. The Great Room, when set up as a meeting room, is the ideal spot for a group get-together or family gathering, though Santa only makes his appearance upon special request. The casual decor and the comfortable "family and child-friendly" furnishings lend themselves to groups of all sorts - whether it be a family reunion, church retreat, or - as shown in the bottom photo - the Annual "Cincy Crop" attended by scrap book enthusiasts from all over the country. On those occasions when a group is renting the Riverboat House accommodations, individual couples staying in the Dugan Residence can still enjoy the quiet, undisturbed by group or family activities next door. |

Higginsport's village park is less than two blocks away, and provides a tennis court and basketball court, as well as swings to entertain smaller children. The village's baseball diamond is also close by. Both of Higginsport's restaurants are within walking distance, making it especially convenient for guests arriving by boat. |

The White Oak Creek Marina in Higginsport has a pontoon boat available for rent. The Eagle Creek Marina in Ripley also rents fishing boats and pedal boats at their location, just 8 miles east of Higginsport. Erin Hull, a licensed massage therapist, makes "house calls", and can provide a relaxing and invigorating massage in the privacy of your room at the Ohio River House. If you wish to arrange a massage to enhance your stay, you can do so by scheduling your private massage session directly with Erin (513-315-1340). The fee is $65.00 for a one-hour massage. Guests wishing to schedule a massage during their stay must make all arrangements directly with Erin, and payment is to be made directly to her by cash or check. If Erin is not available we may be able to suggest another massage therapist. |

I'm 9 years old, and Torin is 6. We live here with our Granny and Grandpa. The four of us have our own nice rooms on the first floor, and a toy room in the basement. Granny says that we can't have an upstairs room so that it will be nice and quiet for guests. We do like to play video games and with our Sonic toys (which are frequently strewn all over the living room), so if you come into the living room you'll probably find lots of toys and games there! |
